Wildborn Mutation (1/day). At the start of each long rest roll a d6 to determine the baby’s temporary Wildborn Mutation for the next 24 hours. Mutations are:
Primal Instincts. The player’s actions toward the baby influence its personality and long-term development. Kind treatment encourages stability and loyalty. Cruel or violent treatment encourages chaotic, aggressive tendencies and possible alignment drift.
Limited Communication. The baby understands Primordial and Draconic but cannot speak. It can communicate simple emotional concepts to its bonded trainer via body language and, if Lingering Whispers mutation is active, telepathically within 60 ft.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: piercing damage.
Minor Breath Surge. Recharge 5-6. The baby exhales a sudden burst of raw prismatic magic in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save a creature takes damage of a random type (roll d6: 1 Acid, 2 Cold, 3 Fire, 4 Lightning, 5 Necrotic, 6 Psychic) and is affected by a brief prismatic shimmer that imposes disadvantage on its next attack roll. On a successful save a creature takes half damage and suffers no shimmer effect.
Split Snap. Split Snap. If a creature misses the baby with a melee attack, the baby can make one bite attack against that creature as a reaction.
