Blightroot (Corrupted Treant)

Old tales speak of a guardian tree that turned vengeful when a circle of druids used forbidden rot to hasten a harvest. Villagers tell of crop fields that went sour overnight and of animals returning with black veins.

Tree Camouflage. The Blightroot can magically hide among other trees and plants. It has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in forested terrain. It is indistinguishable from a large corrupted tree to passive observation unless someone succeeds on a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Animate Blighted Saplings. As a bonus action the Blightroot can animate up to four Medium or smaller blighted saplings within 60 feet. Animated saplings act on the treant's initiative, obey its mental commands, have AC 11, 7 () HP, and make a single attack: Thorn Scratch. Thorn Scratch melee attack to hit, 5 () piercing damage and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the end of its next turn.
Corrupted Vitality. The Blightroot is affected by area spells that heal plants and cure disease at disadvantage. When it starts its turn in damp or swampy ground it regains 5 hit points.
Blight. The treant's attacks inflict blight. A creature that gains a level of blight suffers disadvantage on saving throws against disease and poison. Two levels of blight reduce a creature's speed by half. Three levels of blight leave a creature unable to regain hit points until the blight is removed.
Siege Monster. The treant deals double damage to objects and structures that are wood.
Blighted Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 () bludgeoning damage plus 7 () necrotic damage and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or gain one level of blight. A creature with a plant type or an undead is immune to gaining blight from this attack. A target reduced to 0 hit points by this attack is transformed into a blighted shrub and becomes an uncontrolled plant creature with 1 hit point; the shrub lasts until the end of the next long rest unless restored by lesser restoration or greater restoration.
Spinevine Bolt. Ranged Weapon Attack: to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 14 () piercing damage plus 7 () poison damage. On a hit the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be pulled up to 10 feet toward the treant and knocked prone as grasping roots erupt under its feet.
Thornquake (Recharge 5-6). The treant shudders and slams both huge, bark-encrusted fists into the ground. All creatures of the treant's choice within 20 feet must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save a creature takes 21 () piercing damage and is restrained by thorned vines; on a success the creature takes half damage and is not restrained. A creature restrained by these vines can use an action to make a Strength check to break free. The vines last for 1 minute or until the treant uses this attack again.
Grasping Roots. When a creature the treant can see within 30 feet uses a movement ability to leave a space adjacent to the treant, it may make a Spinevine Bolt attack as an interrupt against that creature.
