Glass Dunejackal

Desert nomads tell of mirage dogs that turn travelers' packs into glittering ruins. Some tribes count the jackal's shards as omens. Alchemists prize the skin fragments to make tiny lenses and abrasive powders; those who harvest them risk the jackal's sharp reprisal.

Sand Camouflage. The Glass Dunejackal has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in sandy or glassy desert terrain. Its crystalline hide refracts light in a way that breaks up its outline.
Heat-Hardened. The jackal is adapted to desert heat. It does not suffer effects from high temperatures or exhaustion caused by heat alone. It also ignores difficult terrain caused by loose sand when moving at half speed or more.
Pack Tactics. If the jackal is within 5 feet of an ally that can see the target, the jackal has advantage on attack rolls against that target.
Bite and Rake. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 () piercing damage. If the target is a creature smaller than Large, the Glass Dunejackal attempts to rake with its hind claws for 3 () slashing damage.
Sand Spray. Recharge 5-6. The Glass Dunejackal exhales a spray of fine, glittering sand in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 9 () piercing damage as microscopic glass shards abrade flesh and equipment and is blinded until the end of its next turn. On a success, the creature takes half damage and is not blinded. Nonmagical ranged weapon attacks that pass through the cone take a single -1 penalty to attack rolls for the next round as grit clogs mechanisms.
Burrow Vanish. The jackal digs quickly and disappears beneath the sand. Until the start of its next turn the jackal is considered lightly obscured and has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in sandy terrain. It can end this burrow early by surfacing in an unoccupied space within 20 feet.
Glass Sidestep. When a creature misses the jackal with a melee attack, the Glass Dunejackal can immediately move up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
