Miners whisper of a living frozen slurry that eats pickaxes and corners men. Blacksmiths fear bringing pure iron into caverns rumored to house a gloomglacier. Alchemists prize the brittle 'frostslag' the creature leaves behind, using it in corrosive tinctures and preservation rituals.

Glacial Resilience. The gloomglacier has advantage on saving throws against being poisoned and on checks and saves to resist being forced into a smaller space. It treats difficult cold terrain as normal terrain for itself.
Amorphous Flow. The gloomglacier can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing. It can enter and occupy the same space as a creature. A creature that ends its turn in the gloomglacier's space is subject to Engulf if the gloomglacier chooses.
Shard Assimilation. When the gloomglacier finishes a short rest it regains 10 hit points for each small metal shard it has absorbed (up to 30 hit points). A creature can remove these shards with a successful Sleight of Hand or a Strength check to pry them free.
Pseudopod Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 () bludgeoning damage plus 7 () acid damage. If the target is a nonmagical metal object, the acid deals an extra 7 () acid damage to the object instead of the target.
Glacial Acid Cone. The gloomglacier uncoils and expels a cone of freezing, acidic ooze in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 31 () acid damage and 7 () cold damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Surfaces hit by the cone are slick with freezing ooze for 1 minute. A creature that starts its turn in the slick area or enters it for the first time on a turn must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or fall prone.
Engulf. The gloomglacier attempts to engulf a Medium or smaller target it can reach. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be engulfed. An engulfed creature is restrained, blinded, and at the start of each of the gloomglacier's turns takes 14 () acid damage and 7 () cold damage. The engulfed creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, escaping on a success. If the gloomglacier moves while a creature is engulfed, the creature moves with it.
Reaching Residue. When a creature within 5 feet hits the gloomglacier with a melee attack, the attacker takes 4 () acid damage as residual ooze splashes back.
