Bone-Gnaw Hound - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Bone-Gnaw Hound

Hunters and soldiers tell of the Bone-Gnaw Hound trailing battlefields to strip the bones of the fallen. In some regions they are seen as omens: where they gather, war has recently occurred or a grave has been disturbed. Superstitious folk sometimes leave offerings of bone to placate packs that frequent a village edge.

Pack Tactics. The hound has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that is prone or that is within 5 feet of an ally of the hound that isn't incapacitated.
Blood Frenzy. When the Bone-Gnaw Hound hits a creature with a Bite while that creature is at half its hit point maximum or lower, the hound enters a frenzied state and gains advantage on melee attack rolls until the end of its next turn. If the hound reduces a creature to 0 hit points with a Bite, it regains 7 hit points.
Bone-Crusher. The hound treats nonmagical armor and wooden shields as fragile when targeted by its Bite. Each time a creature wearing nonmagical armor is hit by a Bite, the armor's effective AC against the Bone-Gnaw Hound is reduced by 1 cumulatively. Wooden shields struck by a Bite take the same cumulative penalty and break when their effective AC contribution would be reduced to 0. These effects do not modify magical items.
Grave-Born Agility. The Bone-Gnaw Hound can maneuver across broken ground, carcasses, and rubble without penalty and can climb at half its speed. It has advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made to climb or clamber over obstacles formed by corpses or bone piles.
Multiattack. The hound makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its maul. If the maul attack hits a creature that is Large or smaller, the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 () piercing damage. If the target is wearing nonmagical armor, the hound can attempt to crush bone and gear: the armor or wooden shield takes a cumulative -1 penalty to its effective AC against the Bone-Gnaw Hound's attacks. If the penalty would reduce effective AC below 10, the armor is considered broken and provides no armor bonus until repaired. This effect does not affect magical armor or shields.
Maul. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 () bludgeoning damage. If the target is grappled by the Bone-Gnaw Hound, this attack deals an additional damage as the hound grinds bone and joint.
Snap Back. When a creature within 5 feet grabs, grapples, or attempts to shove the Bone-Gnaw Hound, the hound can immediately make one Maul attack against that creature.
