One-Eyed Azurewyrm

Sailors tell of a one-eyed wyrm that stares down storms and reads the last thoughts of those it melts into light. Scholars debate whether cyclopean dragons are mutations, a bloodline, or the result of bargains with star-beings. Every known lair bears carved sigils and piles of memory-shards harvested from vanished sages.

Haunting Gaze. The dragon's single eye exerts a constant, low-level mental pressure on those who look at it directly while inside its lair. Creatures that start their turn within 60 feet of the dragon and can see its eye must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or take 7 () psychic damage and have disadvantage on Wisdom and Intelligence checks until the start of their next turn.
Memory Harvest. The dragon can choose to focus its attention on one creature within 120 feet. That creature must succeed on a Intelligence saving throw or have one memory of the DM's choice revealed to the dragon. Treat this as a nonlethal extraction; the target takes 14 () psychic damage on a failed save and 7 () on a success. The dragon can use this trait a number of times equal to 3 plus its Charisma modifier per long rest.
Crystal Amplification. If the dragon is inside its lair, the crystals react on initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties). The dragon can cause one crystal within the lair to flare, creating a 30-foot cone of fractured light. Creatures in the cone must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be blinded and take 21 () radiant damage, or half and not blinded on a success. This effect recharges each dawn.
Telepathic Insight. The dragon knows common and draconic and can communicate telepathically with any creature within 120 feet that understands a language.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 24 () piercing damage plus 10 () psychic damage as the cyclopean eye lashes the target with a pulse of maddening visions.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 () bludgeoning damage.
Wing Buffet. The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 20 feet of the dragon must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone and take 18 () bludgeoning damage. On a successful save the creature takes half damage and is not knocked prone.
Cyclopean Breath (Recharge 5-6). The dragon exhales a cone of cyclopean azure light in a 90-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 66 () radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Creatures that fail the saving throw by 5 or more are also stunned until the end of their next turn. The dragon regains the use of this breath if it rolls a 5 or 6 on a d6 at the start of its turn.
Gaze Counter. If a creature within 30 feet casts a spell that targets only the dragon, the dragon can impose disadvantage on the attack roll or save associated with that spell by focusing its eye. It must declare this before roll results are revealed.
Cyclopean Glance (Costs 2 Actions). Cyclopean Glance. The dragon fixes its gaze on one creature it can see within 60 feet. That creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of its next turn and take 10 () psychic damage.
Blinding Shimmer. Blinding Shimmer. The dragon causes the nearest crystal facet to flare. All creatures within 10 feet of that facet must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of their next turn.
Tail Sweep. Tail Sweep. The dragon makes a tail attack against one target within range.

Innate Psychic TricksDivination The dragon can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components. Charisma is its spellcasting ability (spell save DC 19). It uses these powers to manipulate sight and mind.
