Cliffhanger

Cliffhanger became leader after surviving the Collapse of Seven Bridges, when an entire canyon wall fell and buried his rivals. He later accepted King Damien's banner in exchange for recognition of giant sovereignty over Tortured Souls Island. Some believe he serves Havenya out of loyalty. Others claim Damien possesses a fragment of the crystal heart beneath the canyon, giving the king power to destroy Cliffhanger's clan if the giant disobeys.

Canyon-Born Fortitude. Cliffhanger receives a +4 racial bonus on saving throws against spells and effects that cause blindness, deafness, or confusion while he is touching stone.
Commanding Presence. Cliffhanger gains a +4 racial bonus on saves against fear and mind-affecting effects. Allies within 30 feet gain a +2 morale bonus on saves against fear while they can hear him.
Master of the Pass. Cliffhanger gains a +4 racial bonus on attack rolls when making bull rush or overrun combat maneuvers and does not provoke attacks of opportunity for those maneuvers.
Stone Stride. Cliffhanger can move across natural stone and worked masonry without penalty. He can climb stone surfaces at his climb speed without making a check, but he cannot use this ability on magically smooth or force-created surfaces.
Adamantine Grip. Cliffhanger's melee attacks count as magic and adamantine for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction and hardness.
Echoing Dust. Cliffhanger has a 20 percent miss chance against ranged attacks while standing within the Canyon of Echoes because of drifting dust, reflected sound, and falling grit. This does not apply to touch attacks or attacks that ignore concealment.
Stonehammer and Fist. Cliffhanger makes two stonehammer attacks and one crushing fist attack.
Rock Throwing. Cliffhanger hurls a boulder at a target within 180 feet. The attack deals points of bludgeoning damage. A creature struck must succeed at a Reflex save or be knocked prone and pushed 10 feet. Cliffhanger can throw boulders at targets within his line of sight, ignoring concealment created by dust, mist, or falling stone.
Canyon Shatter. Cliffhanger strikes the ground, causing a 30-foot cone of stone shards and falling rubble. Creatures in the area take points of bludgeoning damage and must succeed at a Reflex save or be staggered for 1 round. A successful save halves the damage and negates the staggered condition. The area becomes difficult terrain. Cliffhanger can use this ability once every rounds.
Voice of the Canyon. Cliffhanger calls the echoing voice of the Canyon of Echoes. Each enemy within 60 feet that can hear him must succeed at a Will save or be shaken for rounds and unable to identify the source of any sound until the end of its next turn. Creatures already shaken become frightened instead. This is a sonic, mind-affecting fear effect.
Raise the Cliff. Cliffhanger tears a slab from the ground and uses it as a shield until the beginning of his next turn. He gains a +6 shield bonus to AC and cover against ranged attacks, but cannot make rock-throwing attacks while using this ability.
Rock Catching. When a rock or other massive thrown object would strike Cliffhanger, he can attempt a Reflex save to catch it. If he succeeds, he takes no damage and can throw the object back as a free action on his next turn. He can catch objects only if they are of a size he could normally throw.
