Grazazt, Prince of Velvet Night

Old songs name him the Prince of Midnight Bargains. He rose from the lower pit to carve a domain of decadence and deals in favors, titles, and souls. Bards tell of nobles who sold heirs for momentary influence at his court.

Dire Majesty. When Grazazt deals max damage on an attack die he triggers a Dire Effect. Dire effects vary by attack and can include prone, additional WIL loss, or immediate charm.
Innate Prince Magic. Grazazt can cast his listed spells as innate powers. He regains use after a short meditation. Uses are limited in combat to 3 spells per 6 rounds unless in his lair where they refresh twice as fast.
Prince's Charm. Grazazt can attempt to Charm any humanoid within 30 ft as an action. Target makes a WIL save to resist. If failed they are charmed for rounds. Creatures immune to charm are unaffected.
Banished Not Destroyed. If Grazazt drops below 0 HP he is not destroyed. Instead he is banished to a nearby shadow pocket for days unless the party completes a complex banishment ritual. This ritual requires sanctified fire, an iron anchor, and the True Name carved into obsidian.
Obsidian Glaive. A sweeping strike with Grazazt's obsidian glaive. Roll d12 for damage and subtract the target's Armor. On a Dire Strike (max roll) the target is knocked prone and takes an additional horror.
Shadow Bite. A quick, vicious bite. Roll d8 for damage. If the bite reduces a target to 0 HP the victim is dragged into Grazazt's shadow for rounds and suffers 1 WIL damage unless they succeed on a WIL save.
Slip of Night. When struck by an attack that would deal more than 6 damage Grazazt can flit into a nearby shadow pool and reappear up to 30 ft away. This can be used once every 3 rounds.
Summon Wraith (Costs 2 Actions). Grazazt calls a lesser wraith to harry a single target. The wraith makes one attack that deals d6 spirit damage that bypasses Armor.
Shadow Step (Costs 3 Actions). Instantly shift to any shadow pool within the lair and reappear behind a target, imposing Disadvantage on their next action.
2nd level
Prince's BargainEnchantment Instantly beguile a single humanoid. If they fail a WIL save they will defend Grazazt for 1d6 rounds or until harmed.
3rd level
Velvet MirageIllusion A wave of cold illusion. Targets must pass a WIL save or be charmed for 1d4 rounds with vivid visions. Magical effect bypasses Armor.
4th level
Shadow CoffersNecromancy A sphere of crushing shadow that deals d8 per round for 2 rounds to anyone inside. Affected targets take damage that bypasses Armor. Creatures reduced to 0 are dragged to the shadow coffers unless saved.
5th level
Twin GateConjuration Open a small planar gate for 1 minute allowing a single ally to step through and return later. Can be used to summon minor demons or escape.
