Prairie Mindwither

Farmers speak of the grey patches where cows go mad and will not return to the herd. Old hunters call the creature a mind-eater that takes 'the wise out of men.' Scholars debate whether Mindwithers are native aberrations or psychic parasites spawned by the land's strange magics.

Aberration. The Mindwither is an aberration. It is subject to effects that specifically target aberrations.
Field Camouflage. When in tall grass or among similar vegetation the Mindwither has concealment and a bonus to Stealth checks.
Ley-Twined. Its connection to minor ley energies grants a +2 natural armor bonus against disintegrate and energy drain effects and a bonus on saves to resist being banished or planar shifted while within 60 feet of a ley fracture.
Wisdom Hunger. A creature struck by Barbed Tendril must attempt a Will save or have temporary Wisdom drained. This functions like a temporary ability drain and is not lethal. Effects that restore ability damage restore it normally.
Barbed Tendril. The Mindwither sweeps a barbed tendril in a wide arc. Melee touch, +15 melee ( plus wisdom drain). On a hit the target takes piercing damage and must succeed on a Will save or lose Wisdom. Lost Wisdom returns at 1 point per day or with lesser restoration.
Psychic Rifle. The Mindwither fixes a blank stare and lashes psychic bolts at up to three targets within 120 feet. Ranged spell-like attack +13, 3 bolts for psychic damage each. Affected creatures take half on a successful Will save .
Mind Choke. One creature the Mindwither is grappling must succeed on a Fortitude save or be stunned for 1 round and take mental damage. The Mindwither can attempt this once per round as part of a grapple check.
Reactive Tendril. If struck in melee by a creature, the Mindwither can expend a swift motion to lash a Tendril and force the attacker to make a Reflex save or be entangled.
