Clockwork Wax-Warden

First designed by the mad sculptor Vahn Helmont, these wardens were meant to hold models still for eternity. The secret of their creation involves distilling the patience of a long-lived creature into a waxen slurry that never truly hardens unless the Warden wills it.

Melted Reflexes. The Warden can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Adhesive Surface. A creature that touches the Warden or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be grappled (escape ).
Molten Core. When the Warden takes fire damage, its wax thins. Its AC decreases by 2 until the end of its next turn, but its movement speed increases by 10 feet.
False Appearance. While the Warden remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a wax statue.
Multiattack. The Warden makes two Wax Slam attacks.
Wax Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 () bludgeoning damage plus 4 () fire damage. The target is grappled (escape ).
Seal in Wax (Recharge 5-6). The Warden pours molten wax over a Medium or smaller creature it is grappling. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, the target is Restrained and begins to suffocate. At the start of each of its turns, the restrained target takes 10 () fire damage. The wax hardens and can be broken (AC 12, 20 HP, immunity to psychic and poison damage).
Wax Splatter. When the Warden takes more than 15 damage from a single melee attack, it sprays hot wax at the attacker. The attacker must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 7 () fire damage and have disadvantage on its next attack roll.
