Hay Camouflage. While in hay, straw, or similar dry plant bedding, the hayrat has advantage on Stealth checks and on saving throws to hide. Creatures inspecting the hay must succeed on a Investigation check to notice the hayrat when it is motionless.
Nimble Escape. The hayrat can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of its turns.
Squeamish Strike. If the hayrat surprises a creature and hits with its Bite, the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be Squeamish. A Squeamish creature has disadvantage on attacks against the hayrat until the end of its next turn.

Sudden Snarl. When a creature moves within 5 ft. of the hayrat and the hayrat is in straw, it may use its reaction to make a Bite attack with advantage.
