Cultist zombies are the cheapest miracle of the Catacombs of Calathis. The rite that made them is crude but effective: a corpse, a vow, a handful of ash, and something whispered from beyond the veil. Their bodies do not simply rot, they continue the service they were denied in life, guarding the places where the dead were never allowed to rest.

Ritual Anchoring. The cultist zombie has advantage on saving throws against being turned while it is within 30 feet of an unbroken ritual circle or a living cult leader.
Ashen Collapse. When the cultist zombie is reduced to 0 hit points, its body can burst into a stain of black ash and chalk dust. If it was slain by radiant damage or blessed water, it cannot rise again unless a powerful necromantic effect restores it.
Corpse Rise. If a humanoid dies to the cultist zombie's Gravehook Slam, the corpse may later rise as a cultist zombie unless the body is blessed, burned, or otherwise consecrated within 1 hour.
Multiattack. The cultist zombie makes one Gravehook Slam attack.
Gravehook Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 () bludgeoning damage plus 2 () necrotic damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or its hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken until it finishes a long rest. A humanoid killed by this attack rises as a cultist zombie after 1 hour unless its corpse is blessed or the curse is otherwise ended.
Death Grip. When a creature within 5 feet of the cultist zombie hits it with a melee attack, the zombie can lurch forward and make one Gravehook Slam attack against that creature.
