Vine Blight

Vine blights are malevolent plant creatures born from corrupted vegetation and dark natural magic. The oldest among them can imitate the voices of former victims, using familiar cries for help to lure travelers into their grasp. At Rootfall, this specimen has grown around a buried shrine and treats every intruder as nourishment for the roots below.

False Appearance. While the blight remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a tangle of vines or other ordinary vegetation.
Constrict. The blight can grapple only one creature at a time with this attack. A creature grappled by the blight is restrained until the grapple ends, and the blight cannot constrict another target while maintaining the grapple.
Entangling Plants. Grasping roots and vines erupt from the soil, creating a zone of difficult terrain and restraining creatures that fail the blight's saving throw.
Constrict. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 30 ft., one target. Hit: 9 () bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled. Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the vine blight cannot constrict another target. The grapple ends if the blight is incapacitated or if the target escapes with a successful Strength or Dexterity check.
Entangling Plants. Grasping roots and vines erupt in a 15-foot radius centered on the blight and remain for 1 minute. The area is difficult terrain for hostile creatures. When a hostile creature enters the area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be restrained until the plants wither or until the creature uses its action to make a Strength check, freeing itself on a success. The blight can use this action once, then must recharge it after a short or long rest, or when it rolls a 5 or 6 at the start of its turn.
