Specter - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Specter

A Specter is what remains when a dead soul cannot leave because its hunger was rewritten into the land itself. These spirits are not always born from malice. Sometimes they are a guard who failed, a mournful ancestor, or a trespasser swallowed by cursed roots. Over time, the need to feel alive again twists into a draining hunger. The specter in Seal the Root Line is especially dangerous because it has learned that the life force of the living can be carried through roots, letting it appear where the party feels safest.
