Glimmermind Stalker

Scribes and dream-priests whisper about 'mirror-thieves' that take the edges of a memory and stitch them into their own thoughts. Old journals report missing time and copies of dreams with nothing at their center.

Telepathic. The Glimmermind Stalker can communicate telepathically with any creature within 120 feet that can understand a language. It does not need to share a language to communicate sensations and simple concepts.
Glimmer Veil. While in dim light or darkness the Stalker has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and can attempt to hide even when only lightly obscured by its afterimages.
Flickerstep. The Stalker can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see as a bonus action. When it teleports from a space occupied by a creature, the creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be disoriented, taking no reactions until the start of its next turn.
Memory Feast. The Stalker feeds on short-term memories. A creature reduced to 0 hit points by the Stalker loses the last hour of memory. This effect can be removed with greater restoration or a wish.
Multiattack. The Glimmermind Stalker makes two attacks: one Psychic Maw and one Mindlash.
Psychic Maw. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 () psychic damage and the target must succeed on a Intelligence saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn as shimmering thought-threads knot the mind.
Mindlash. Ranged Spell Attack: to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 10 () psychic damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of the Glimmermind Stalker's next turn as intrusive whispers sap focus.
Memory Probe. The Glimmermind Stalker targets one stunned creature it can see within 30 feet. The target must make a Intelligence saving throw or gain no benefit from short rests for 24 hours and suffer vivid, sleepless dreams that grant the Stalker insight into the target's memories. On a failure the Stalker learns one memory theme (a short descriptive phrase the DM may use), on a success the target is immune to Memory Probe from this Stalker for 24 hours.
Psychic Echo. When a creature within 30 feet deals damage to the Stalker with a melee attack, the attacker must succeed on a Intelligence saving throw or take 7 () psychic damage as residual thought-needles rebound into the attacker.
Cantrips
Innate Psychic Magicenchantment and illusion Innate. The Glimmermind Stalker can cast the following spells, requiring no material components. Intelligence is its spellcasting ability (spell save DC 15, +7 to hit with spell attacks). At will: minor illusion, silent image. 2/day each: detect thoughts, mirror image. 1/day: dream (as the spell).
