Keeper Between Stars - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Keeper Between Stars

The astral lion is known among planar travelers as the Keeper Between Stars. It was created to guard a floor that contains knowledge too dangerous for the untested. Legends claim that it has never judged a worthy traveler falsely, but it has allowed many powerful and selfish creatures to pass through only after forcing them to confront the consequences of their choices.

Celestial. The lion has the celestial and holy traits. Its Strikes are magical and deal spirit damage where noted.
Astral Form. The lion is composed of extradimensional starlight. It can see through ordinary darkness and does not need to breathe, eat, or sleep.
Cosmic Judgment. When the lion critically succeeds at a Perception check to Sense Motive, Recall Knowledge, or Seek, it can ask the GM one brief question about the creature's immediate goal. The answer must be truthful but can be vague.
Holy Starfire. The lion's attacks and abilities count as holy for the purpose of overcoming weaknesses. A creature with a weakness to holy damage applies that weakness to the lion's spirit damage.
Nebula Mantle. If the lion begins its turn in dim light or darkness, it gains concealment until the start of its next turn. This concealment ends immediately after it uses a hostile action.
Jaws. The astral lion makes a jaws Strike against a creature within reach. If the target is marked by Star-Sight, the Strike deals an additional spirit damage.
Astral Claws. The astral lion makes two claw Strikes. These attacks count toward its multiple attack penalty, but the penalty does not increase until after it makes both Strikes.
Starfall Breath. The lion exhales a silent wave of starlight in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in the area must attempt a Reflex save. Critical Success: The creature is unaffected. Success: The creature takes spirit damage. Failure: The creature takes spirit damage and is dazzled for 1 round. Critical Failure: The creature takes spirit damage, is dazzled for 1 minute, and is pushed 10 feet. The lion cannot use Starfall Breath again for rounds.
Star-Sight. The astral lion designates one creature it can see within 60 feet as the subject of its trial until the end of the encounter. The subject glimmers with constellations and cannot become hidden from the lion through darkness, invisibility, or concealment alone. The lion can have only one subject marked at a time.
Constellation Pounce. The lion leaps through a fold in space, teleporting up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. It can make a claw Strike immediately after this teleport. If it teleports into an area of dim light or darkness, the Strike deals an additional spirit damage.
Interposing Constellation. Trigger The lion uses its reaction when a creature it can see within 30 feet would be hit by an attack. The lion shifts the target 5 feet to an unoccupied space, causing the attack to miss if the target is no longer in the attacker's reach or line of effect. The lion cannot use this reaction if it is stunned or immobilized.
