Nightmire Ooze

Folktales call it the nightmire, a thing born where grief is left unattended. Priests warn that when a burial pool softens and reek rises, a nightmire may take root and feed on the grief of the living. Old charters sometimes note 'corrupted font' and mark such places for cleansing by sun-priest orders.

Amorphous. A nightmire ooze can occupy another creature's space and vice versa. It can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Corrupting Surface. Any creature that touches the ooze or hits it with a nonmagical melee attack while within 5 feet takes 7 () necrotic damage.
Negative Resilience. The ooze is immune to the poisoned condition and to poison damage. It is not affected by spells or effects that target mind-affecting emotions, but it is harmed by radiant energy more severely.
Radiant Vulnerability. When the ooze takes 20 radiant damage or more from a single source, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn. Radiant damage heals undead and hurts the ooze extra.
Multiattack. The nightmire ooze makes two pseudopod attacks.
Pseudopod. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 () necrotic bludgeoning damage and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or have its maximum hit points reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage dealt. A creature whose maximum hit points are reduced to 0 by this effect dies and rises as a shadowy husk under the ooze's control after 1 minute unless restored by a lesser restoration or similar magic.
Negative Miasma. A 10-foot radius centered on the ooze. Each creature in the area must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or gain one level of exhaustion and take 18 () necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage and no exhaustion on a success. Constructs and undead are immune.
Siphon Spit. Ranged Spell Attack: to hit, range 30 ft., one target. Hit: 21 () necrotic damage. If this attack reduces a creature to 0 hit points, the ooze regains 20 hit points.
Retributive Lash. When a creature within 5 feet damages the ooze, the ooze can make one pseudopod attack against that creature.
Gloom Slide. Gloom Slide. The ooze moves up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks or squeezes through a 1-foot-wide gap.
3rd level
Blight (Innate)Necromancy The ooze can expend an action to cast the spell. Once it uses a spell, it cannot cast that spell again until it finishes a short or long rest.
Bestow Curse (Innate, necrotic focus)Necromancy The ooze can call on a wave of oppressive despair focused on one creature. The effect is identical to the spell bestow curse with the damage over time variant. Usable once per long rest.
