Carrion Huskweaver
Long-lived huskweavers become living reliquaries of their victims. Each kill adds another plate, tusk, visor, or shard to the shell, and over years the mound becomes so dense that the original insect can no longer be seen. Travelers tell of ancient ones that are dragged apart by scavengers after death, revealing dozens of layered carcasses fused into a single impossible armor. Some communities fear the oldest huskweavers as much as drought, because wherever one settles, it turns a road into a feeding ground and a battlefield into a nest.
