Durnik Svartskärp
Fighter 5 / Rogue 3
Durnik Svartskärp
Species
Half-elf
Appearance
Durnik is a lean half-elf woman with the compact, balanced posture of someone who has spent half her life on swaying wagon decks. She moves with unnerving economy, never wasting a step, never allowing her shoulders to rock even when the ground jolts beneath her. Her face is narrow and handsome in a severe way, with a split lower lip, a small silver tooth, and a pale scar that runs from her left temple to the corner of her mouth like a second smile. Her hands are callused and stained with axle grease, but her fingernails are polished black. The unexpected contradiction is her hair, which is a thick cloud of soft white curls that she keeps pinned beneath an iron wagoner's cap. She leaves behind the impression of a patient knife: quiet, practical, and already close enough to cut.
“Her voice is low, warm, and deliberate, with a faint coastal lilt. She rarely raises it.”

Distinguishing Features
A black leatherbelt covered in tiny punched symbols marking every wagon she has personally secured.
A silver tooth engraved with a six-spoked wheel.
A white curl that always escapes from beneath her iron cap.
A scar shaped like a crooked smile across the left side of her face.
She can identify a wagon by the sound of its wheels from across a crowded yard.
Voice
“A velvet contralto with a dry laugh, a faint coastal accent, and the unnerving habit of sounding kind while describing consequences.”
Clothing
A fitted coat of soot-gray canvas reinforced with narrow iron strips, dark trousers tucked into mud-caked riding boots, and a high-collared vest sewn with hidden pockets. Around her waist is a broad black leatherbelt, burnished until it shines like wet coal, fitted with brass rings, lock picks, keys, and a thin chain of wagon seals. She wears a battered iron cap and one red glove on her left hand.
Body Language
Durnik stands slightly side-on, presenting a narrower target and keeping her right hand near her belt. She tilts her head when listening, as if examining a suspicious wheel bearing. During threats, she smiles with only the silver tooth visible. When genuinely angry, she becomes completely still.
