Appearance
Bolt looks as if a storm has learned to stand still. Fine cloud-bands drift beneath the surface of his dark gray skin, gathering at his shoulders when he is tense and unwinding along his arms when he relaxes. His cloudy white hair lifts and settles in tiny, tide-like motions even indoors. He waits with his weight on the balls of his feet, as though the ground is a suggestion, and unconsciously checks the brass clasp at his throat whenever a door opens. Despite his crackling presence, he is careful with fragile things, lifting cups and infants with astonishing gentleness. He smells of rain on hot stone.
