Silas Voss
Rogue (Scout)
Silas Voss
Species
Human
Appearance
A wiry, perpetually scruffy human man whose body seems assembled from sharp angles, old bruises, and stubborn momentum. His dark hair is wind-swept even in sealed tunnels, as though some private storm follows him underground. A faint silver aether-burn scar tracks from beneath his left ear across the hinge of his jaw, gleaming when he turns toward conduit light. His cynical eyes are nearly black, but flecks of amber appear in them when he is calculating a route or spotting a lie. He moves with a loose, off-balance gait that suddenly becomes startlingly precise when danger strikes. Despite his grime-streaked face, cracked knuckles, and perpetually exhausted appearance, he keeps one immaculate white cuff visible beneath his coat, an absurdly elegant contradiction that suggests either vanity or mourning.
“A low, dry rasp delivered with deliberate pauses. He speaks quickly when explaining routes, slowly when setting a price, and with unnerving politeness when threatening someone.”

Distinguishing Features
A silver aether-burn scar crossing the left jawline.
A pristine white shirt cuff that never seems to gather dust.
A brass harness covered in tiny stamped numbers, each marking a route, debt, or dead drop.
A slight metallic rasp in his breathing after prolonged exposure to unstable conduits.
A missing tip from his left index finger, replaced with a dark ceramic prosthetic cap used for testing electrical charge.
Voice
“A gravelly, sleep-deprived baritone with a faint metallic rasp, as though every word has passed through a damaged filter.”
Clothing
A dust-caked canvas trench coat fitted with dozens of hidden inner pouches, concealed snap-clasps, and reinforced seams. Beneath it he wears a faded charcoal shirt, patched trousers, soft-soled tunnel boots, and a heavy brass smuggling harness lined with lockpicks, signal flares, compact aether-shunts, wire, chalk, and false seals.
Body Language
Silas leans away from people while listening and leans toward exits while speaking. His fingers constantly touch buckles, bolts, or hidden tools. When genuinely worried, he becomes perfectly still except for his left thumb rubbing the aether-burn scar.
