Pydwyn Sede
Wizard, School of Evocation
Pydwyn Sede
Species
Vampire
Appearance
Pydwyn Sede stands only 5 feet 3 inches tall, but she occupies a room as if she were much taller. Her movements are exact and economical, with the unsettling stillness of someone who has practiced every gesture in a mirror. Her skin is pale as wax cooled over blue veins, yet her hands are unexpectedly warm when she chooses to touch someone. Short, wavy black hair curls around her ears and refuses every attempt at formal arrangement. Her pale blue eyes seem almost colorless until she casts a spell, when tiny gold sparks move through them like fish beneath ice. She wears an ornate gown embroidered with tiny silver diagrams of stars, furnaces, and falling leaves. The contradictory detail is her practical footwear: scuffed black riding boots beneath the hem, always dusty from walking Cormyr's roads herself. People remember the faint smell of rain on stone around her and the way candle flames lean toward her before she speaks.
“Quiet, precise, and breathy, with deliberate pauses before emotional words. Her voice becomes almost inaudible when she is most dangerous, forcing listeners to lean toward her.”

Distinguishing Features
Her pale blue eyes flash with gold sparks whenever she suppresses anger.
Her ornate gown is always paired with visibly dusty riding boots.
She smells faintly of rain, hot metal, and old paper.
A thin silver ring on her right index finger is checked dozens of times a day.
Her shadow occasionally moves a fraction of a second after she does.
Voice
“A low, breathy contralto with a soft sibilance, like words spoken through silk. She sounds calm even when describing catastrophe, but warmth enters her voice whenever she speaks to children or names someone who kept a promise.”
Clothing
An ornate midnight-blue gown with a high collar, layered translucent sleeves, silver threadwork, pearl buttons, and hidden pockets. Beneath it she wears a fitted leather bodice, wool stockings, and scuffed black riding boots. Her silver signet ring bears the tiny image of a covered lantern.
Body Language
She keeps one hand lightly closed around the silver ring on her right index finger and unconsciously checks its position whenever someone lies. In conversation she stands too close, not from aggression but because undead hearing makes ordinary distances feel strangely remote. When casting, she turns her shoulders sideways as if making room for an invisible companion.
