Korrash Ash-Scale
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Korrash is a broad-shouldered dragonborn whose iron-grey scales look less like armor than weathered forged metal. Soot has settled permanently into the grooves around his throat, elbows, and jaw, creating dark rings that no bath can remove. His left horn is broken halfway down and capped with a brass sleeve engraved with cargo tallies. His movements are economical and strangely quiet for someone in heavy plate. He turns his entire torso before his head, like a siege engine tracking a target, and stands perfectly still whenever others begin arguing. The unexpected softness of his appearance comes from his eyes, which are a clear, almost gentle amber and reflect candlelight like polished glass. He leaves people with the impression that they have just been measured, weighed, and provisionally forgiven.
“Low, measured, and dry, with each sentence delivered as if it were being entered into an official record. His Draconic consonants click against his teeth.”

Distinguishing Features
A broken left horn capped in engraved brass.
A shield scar shaped like a three-pronged claw across his chest plate.
A faint line of copper-colored scales running from his right temple to his collarbone.
His flail head contains tiny bells that ring only when he swings it with lethal intent.
He carries a child's blue wool ribbon tied around one wrist beneath his gauntlet.
Voice
“A gravel-deep baritone with a faint metallic rasp, like a furnace door closing. He rarely raises his volume, because silence usually makes others lean closer.”
Clothing
Segmented blackened plate reinforced by overlapping steel pauldrons, a dark red military sash, ash-grey travel cloak, reinforced leather gloves, and a broad belt carrying seal wax, chalk, spare buckles, and miniature manifest tablets.
Body Language
Korrash keeps his shield angled toward the most dangerous person in a room, even during peaceful conversations. When suspicious, one claw rests lightly on his flail chain. When genuinely moved, he lowers his head and rubs the brass cap on his broken horn.
