Evdokia Qorai
Species
Half-elf
Appearance
Evdokia is a long-limbed half-elf with sun-browned copper skin, a narrow waist, and the loose, balanced posture of someone who has spent her life dancing on moving wagons. Her smile arrives before her attention does, bright and inviting, while her eyes remain watchful and tired. She wears almost scandalously little by respectable standards, but every exposed inch is intentional stagecraft rather than helplessness. The unexpected contradiction is that her most treasured garment is an absurdly modest, high-necked linen undershirt, washed and mended with devotional care beneath the rest of her costume. She moves with theatrical languor until danger appears, then becomes startlingly still, like a cat deciding where to place one paw.
“Her voice is low, warm, and deliberately intimate, with a rolling cadence shaped by caravan songs and old market dialects. She can make a vulgar joke sound like a royal proclamation.”

Distinguishing Features
A small brass bell is sewn into the hem of her skirt and rings only when she is deliberately lying.
Her palms are stained permanently amber from years of handling perfume oils and stage dyes.
She has a habit of tilting her head as if listening to music no one else can hear.
Her immaculate pearl-buttoned glove is visibly older than the rest of her costume and has been repaired dozens of times.
Her laugh is huge, musical, and deliberately contagious, but her genuine amusement is a nearly silent breath through the nose.
Voice
“A contralto with a smoky lower register and a bell-bright upper edge. Her stage voice can fill a plaza, while her private voice is almost too soft to hear. She laughs like someone throwing open shutters.”
Clothing
A black-and-coral silk costume consisting of a split-sided skirt, a jeweled bodice, high boots, a cropped velvet jacket, long stockings, and a cascade of embroidered ribbons. The outfit is deliberately revealing, repaired with mismatched thread, and fitted with concealed pockets. A plain cream linen undershirt covers her throat and collarbones. One glove is elegant and pearl-buttoned, while the other is patched leather taken from an old saddle.
Body Language
She leans close when lying and leans away when telling the truth. Her fingers constantly test the hinges of her fan, and she uses her hips, shoulders, and wrists like a dancer marking choreography even while standing still. When genuinely angry, every theatrical movement stops.
