Nilmenor Vey
Wizard
Nilmenor Vey
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Nilmenor is a young half-elf with an almost unfinished look about him, as if the world has not yet decided whether he will become handsome, severe, or both. His brown hair is thick, softly wavy, and always a little untamed, with one lock that falls into his eyes no matter how carefully he combs it. His deep green eyes are alert and reflective, like polished bottle glass, and they seem to linger on people as if he is taking notes no one asked for. He wears a bright blue robe trimmed in faded silver thread and a matching blue magician's hat with a neat round hole torn through one side. The hole is home to Fufu, his thrush, who peers out as if from a private nest inside a traveling theater prop. He moves with quick, slightly angular steps, half scholar and half stage performer, and he has the odd habit of looking faintly embarrassed when he casts impressive magic, as though the spell may be too dramatic for his own taste.
“Measured and articulate, with a soft bookish cadence that sharpens into dry wit when challenged; he sounds like someone who learned to argue by proofreading sermons and court petitions..”

Distinguishing Features
A neat circular hole in his blue hat that serves as Fufu's nest
Ink-smudged fingertips that never fully wash clean
A faint burn scar curling along one wrist from the warehouse fire
A habit of smiling with only one side of his mouth
A set of tiny silver page-charms sewn inside his robe hem
Voice
“Low, thoughtful, and a little too earnest, with a faint dry laugh tucked behind certain words.”
Clothing
A vivid blue wizard's robe lined with practical inner pockets, a matching pointed hat with a small hole on one side, ink-resistant gloves tucked into his belt, soft black boots, and a sash full of folded pages, sealing wax, and spare quills.
Body Language
He stands upright when writing, but in conversation he leans slightly forward as if trying not to waste anyone's time. His fingers are ink-stained, often holding a quill like a duelist holds a rapier, and he adjusts his hat with absentminded precision whenever he is thinking. When irritated, he presses his lips together and stares very still, giving the impression that he is arranging a very unkind sentence in his head.
