Appearance
Kettir is a slight young woman with a soft, almost storybook face and an understated beauty that becomes more apparent the longer someone watches her. Her light skin has a warm, pearly tone, with a scatter of tiny sun freckles across her nose. She moves with careful economy, placing each foot as though testing ice, yet her hands are constantly busy with clasps, wick trimmers, and loose threads. Her pale ash-brown hair is cut just below the jaw and usually tucked behind one ear, though several stubborn strands curl toward her cheeks. Her eyes rarely settle on faces. They travel to exits, hands, windows, and sources of light, mapping every room before she fully enters it. The unexpected contradiction is that her delicate appearance is paired with a remarkably steady grip and the habit of lifting heavy crates without asking for help.
“Her voice is soft, clear, and lightly accented by the clipped cadence of northern hill towns. She speaks quickly when discussing tools or routes, slowly when discussing death, and almost cheerfully when delivering grim warnings.”

Distinguishing Features
She looks at lamps, hands, doorways, and shadows before looking directly at a speaker.
Her left cuff always contains a small blue glass bead sewn into the lining.
She walks quietly but never silently, because she deliberately lets one boot heel click as a warning to others.
Her fingertips are permanently darkened by soot despite constant washing.
She smiles readily at strangers but becomes guarded and almost formal around people she loves.
Voice
“Warm, quick, and quietly musical, with a habit of dropping into a near whisper when she says something important”
Clothing
A simple cream linen dress beneath a moss-green wool overdress, fastened with small dark-brass toggles. She wears a narrow leather belt with a pouch of wick tools, plain ankle boots, and a short slate-blue cloak. Everything is clean, carefully mended, and free of ornament except for a single blue glass bead sewn inside her left cuff.
Body Language
Kettir keeps her shoulders relaxed and her chin slightly lowered, but her eyes constantly survey the room. She stands with her weight on the balls of her feet and favors her left side when listening. When deciding whether to trust someone, she turns a lantern wick between her fingers. When angry, she becomes perfectly still except for the slow tightening of her hands.
