Appearance
A slim, athletic young woman with light olive skin warmed by sun and wind, soft cheeks, a narrow chin, and vivid hazel-green eyes flecked with amber. Her jaw-length black-brown hair is unevenly cut, with damp wisps curling around her ears as though she has just come in from fog or rain. She leans slightly forward even when standing still, left shoulder angled toward the nearest doorway or escape route, while her right hand often hovers near the pommel of her sheathed longsword. Her arms are muscled from the biceps down, with the compact strength of someone who carries crates, climbs walls, and fights in cramped rooms rather than trains for spectacle. She takes up less physical space than expected, but her attention fills the room. The unexpected contradiction is her tender, almost shy smile, which appears most readily when she is threatening someone.
“Her voice is low, clear, and slightly husky from years of speaking over rain and wagon noise. She speaks in short, measured sentences, often pausing before the most important word.”

Distinguishing Features
Her hair is cut unevenly at jaw length, as if trimmed with a kitchen knife, but she keeps the damp curls around her ears carefully groomed.
One brass cloak clasp is polished to a warm golden shine while every other metal fitting is scratched and dull.
She smiles with genuine tenderness while delivering threats, making it difficult to tell whether she is joking.
She has a habit of tilting her left shoulder toward doorways, even in open fields.
Her red sash contains tiny blue stitches forming a map of the village streets.
Voice
“Low, clear, and husky, with a gentle cadence that becomes brisk and cheerful when she is afraid.”
Clothing
A well-fitted chain shirt shows beneath a mended charcoal half-cloak that wraps around both shoulders. The cloak has three different shades of gray thread in its repairs, each patch sewn by a different person. A muted red sash holds the cloak close and doubles as a bandage in emergencies. Her boots are soft-soled and heavily resoled, her trousers are plain dark wool, and one brass cloak clasp is polished obsessively while the rest of her gear is allowed to weather.
Body Language
Mirek leans toward danger instead of away from it, keeping her shoulders loose and her weight on the balls of her feet. When uncertain, she rubs the brass guard of her sword with her thumb. Her smile is gentle, but her eyes remain fixed and evaluating. Around children, she crouches to their height. Around officials, she stands very still and makes them feel as though they are the ones being inspected.
