Mosi Kanda
Cleric
Mosi Kanda
Species
Grippli
Appearance
Mosi is a compact grippli with long spring-loaded legs and a broad, soft-jointed posture that makes him seem ready to leap even when standing still. His skin has the matte texture of river stones beneath a film of rain, mottled olive along the back and yellow-green across the throat. His jaw is wide, and his small blunt teeth show whenever he speaks, eats, or laughs. He smiles often, but the expression is difficult to read because it looks halfway between kindness and the warning display of a cornered frog. His movements are quiet until they are suddenly not, carrying him from crouch to ceiling beam in a single elastic motion. Despite his marsh-born appearance, he keeps himself immaculate, smelling faintly of soap, crushed basil, and old copper. He checks the little brass clasp at his collar every few breaths without realizing it.
“His voice is soft, quick, and slightly wet at the edges, with a careful rhythm that becomes clipped and commanding during emergencies. He pronounces names perfectly after hearing them once.”

Distinguishing Features
Broad frog-like jaw with small blunt teeth visible whenever he talks
Constantly checks the brass clasp at his throat
Carries a scent of mint, wet stone, and old copper
Can leap onto a ten-foot ledge with almost no warning
Keeps medical labels written in three scripts, although he can barely read two of them
Voice
“A quiet reed-flute voice, gentle during treatment and suddenly carrying through stone when someone is in danger.”
Clothing
A sleeveless moss-green healer's coat over a cream wrap shirt, waterproof brown trousers, soft climbing sandals, and a broad belt crowded with jars, folded splints, surgical thread, and labeled packets of dried leaves. A tarnished brass clasp shaped like a closed eye fastens his collar.
Body Language
Mosi keeps his weight on the balls of his feet and tilts his head before answering, as though listening through the soles of his feet. His hands are rarely still. One checks his collar clasp, another counts bandage rolls, or both flatten the creases in a patient's clothing before treatment. When frightened, he becomes very polite and climbs higher.
