Brindle Vey
Sorcerer
Brindle Vey
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
A thin tiefling woman stands in three-quarter view with one hip angled forward and her head cocked as if she has just caught someone telling an entertaining lie. Her smooth dark red skin has a subtle satin sheen in bright sunlight, while a dusting of soot gathers naturally along her collarbones and beneath her jaw. Her face is narrow and elegant, with red lips, flushed cheeks, tiny white fangs, and intense blood-red eyes that seem almost too bright for her calm expression. Two very short black conical horns rise from her forehead, more like polished obsidian studs than the grand horns people expect from a tiefling. Her pointed, catlike ears twitch toward nearby sounds. Her cropped black hair is neatly combed, except for one stubborn lock that springs upward whenever her magic stirs. She moves with a dancer's economy, never quite standing still, yet her hands remain empty and deliberately ordinary. The contradiction is striking: she looks poised for flirtation or trouble, but carries herself with the guarded stillness of someone expecting a gunshot.
“Her voice is low, quick, and musical, with an off-beat stress that makes ordinary sentences sound like private jokes. She speaks Common with frontier plainness but slips into clipped Infernal vowels when angry.”

Distinguishing Features
Two unusually short black horns that resemble polished studs
A single rebellious lock of hair that rises when her magic activates
A faint ember-like glow beneath the skin of her palms after casting
A narrow burn scar hidden beneath her left shoulder blade
A silver-grey bracelet that becomes warm near active magic
A tail that curls around her ankle when she lies
Voice
“Smoky and intimate, with a bright metallic edge when amused and a nearly inaudible rasp when she is close to losing control.”
Clothing
A cream rolled-sleeve blouse with a plunging neckline, charcoal trousers fitted for travel, polished leather ankle boots, and a rich brown duster with no visible pockets. A silver-grey bracelet circles her left wrist, and a single plain silver ring rests on her right hand.
Body Language
She leans into conversations with an inviting tilt of the head, but keeps her shoulders slightly raised and her weight balanced on the balls of her feet. Her tail, when visible beneath the duster, betrays her mood by curling tightly around her ankle when she lies. In combat, her posture becomes unnervingly still, like a match held just before it strikes.
