Vorakhan Stone-Gaze

Level 11·Male·Medium
Lawful Neutral

Species

Half-Dragon, Blue Draconic Ancestry

Appearance

Vorakhan is a broad-shouldered cobalt-scaled half-dragon whose scales carry a dull metallic sheen, like polished ore left beneath volcanic dust. Sweeping bronze horns curve backward from his brow and are capped with small brass rings engraved with shipment tallies. He moves with a measured, slightly forward-leaning gait, planting each step as though testing a bridge before trusting it. In a crowded room, his eyes rarely settle on faces. They travel instead over doorways, hands, crates, roof beams, and escape routes, then return to the speaker with unnerving precision. His presence suggests a siege engine disguised as a civil servant. The contradiction is in his hands, which are remarkably gentle and dexterous, capable of repairing a snapped clasp or turning the pages of a clan ledger without creasing them.

Height6 feet 7 inches
BuildHeavy and powerful, with the compact density of a quarry worker rather than the towering frame of a champion
EyesDeep amber with thin blue rings that brighten before he uses lightning magic
HairBlack, worn close to the scalp, with short bronze filaments along the crown
SkinCobalt blue scales with dark indigo ridges along the shoulders, forearms, and spine

Measured and low, with clipped consonants and a faint resonant rasp. He pronounces names carefully, speaks faster when discussing logistics, and becomes unnaturally soft when issuing a final warning.”

Distinguishing Features

Bronze horn caps engraved with changing shipment tallies

A blue tongue and faint sparks that jump between his teeth when he is under stress

A habit of watching hands and doorways instead of faces

A red cord from his mother's mining harness tied around his wrist

His tribute staff bears two small counterweights that click softly whenever he walks

Voice

A deep, controlled baritone with a dry metallic resonance, like stone struck beneath a forge hammer

Clothing

Brass-plated officer mail over layered charcoal wool cloaks, reinforced riding boots, a blue sash bearing the imperial seal, thick gloves for handling hot metal, and a red cord around one wrist that belonged to his mother

Body Language

He stands squarely with both feet planted, one hand resting on the head of his staff. When listening, he tilts his head toward the speaker but keeps his gaze moving through the room. His tail, when visible beneath his cloak, taps once against the ground whenever someone lies. In battle, he advances in short deliberate steps, never looking hurried.
