The Seventh Stone Remembers

Outside the ruined chapel, seven weather-stained tombstones stand in a crescent before a single door of black stone. Wind stirs dead ivy across the graves, and pale blue light pulses beneath the carved letters whenever anyone touches a stone. The names are still legible: ALDEN, BRYNN, CELIA, DORAN, ELIRA, FEN, and GARRICK. Each tombstone bears a short statement. The sealed door has no handle, while a bronze plaque below it reads: “Three voices speak truth. One stone remembers the way.”
