The Rootward Cycle
Beneath a canopy of interwoven roots, a circular clearing opens around three waist-wide stone discs, their surfaces cool and damp beneath your hands. One bears a closed seed, one a young tree with spreading leaves, and one a hollow trunk softened by moss. A seed pod rests beside a sapling and a fallen log, each echoing a carving. The air smells of wet earth and crushed fern; a faint green line of light pulses beneath the discs whenever one is moved.
