The Grass That Remembers Night

The hallway is narrow and impossibly quiet, with walls, ceiling, and floor covered in thick green grass that bends without wind. Only grass and darkness surround you. At the far end, a black stone door bears four empty grooves arranged like a circle. Four raised patches of grass interrupt the floor, each marked with a different natural scene. The darkness overhead ripples whenever someone moves, and the grass gives off a faint scent of rain, crushed leaves, and cold earth. A pale quartz stone glimmers beside the entrance.
