The Crownless Road to the Hollow Sovereign

You enter a circular cavern where blue moss illuminates blackstone pillars and pale roots crawl like veins through the floor. A cracked crystal hangs above the chamber, casting moonlit lines that jump from obelisk to obelisk before vanishing. Three silver roots writhe across the ground, each ending in a metal clasp. Beyond them, a sealed door bears three empty crown-shaped hollows. Every few breaths, the floor shifts: thorny ridges rise in one place while sinking in another, and distant bells ring whenever someone steps on the wrong patch of stone.
