Feauvême is a broad southern duchy of riverlands, marshes, and mountain-fed streams, large enough to hold many towns, ports, monasteries, and fortress settlements. Rain is constant, roads are unreliable, and almost every journey depends on ferries, dikes, or high causeways. The land is rich and productive, but the same water that feeds it also breeds disease, floods, smugglers, monsters, and political unrest.
