The Foxglove Rest
The inn began as a roadside shepherd's house nearly eighty years ago, when a winter storm trapped a dozen travelers beneath its roof. The original owner, Maelin Vey, fed them from her own stores and refused payment until spring. Her descendants kept the tradition, expanding the house room by room without ever losing its intimate, homely character. The current keeper still sets one extra place at supper for any traveler who arrives during a storm.
