The Spry Pony
The Spry Pony began as a boast. Its first owner claimed the building had once housed a racehorse that could clear a six-foot fence without breaking stride. No one ever found proof, and the horse was probably an ordinary gray mare with a bad temper. The name remained after the place became a practical refuge for miners, scouts, caravan guards, and adventurers. The attached stone tower was added by a mason's crew that used the tavern as its headquarters. Since then, its rooms have hosted treasure shares, expedition councils, quiet disputes, and at least one marriage that began with a map being thrown into the fire.
