The Glimmering Sanctum of Pelor
A striking structure of white marble and polished brass that reflects the midday sun with blinding intensity. The temple is topped by a massive glass dome that focuses light into a central basin. Tall, slender pillars support the vaulted ceilings, and the floor is a mosaic of golden sunflower petals. Everything smells of fresh lavender and expensive beeswax.

History
Divine Services and Spellcasting
The temple offers several services for a donation. Cure Wounds (level 1) costs 10 gold, Lesser Restoration costs 40 gold, and Remove Curse costs 90 gold. Once per week, the High Priestess can perform a ceremony that grants the 'Inspired' condition to a group of five people who spend at least four hours in prayer.
Sacred Relics
Housed within a locked glass case behind the altar is the 'Crest of the First Morn', a shield once held by a legendary hero. It is said to pulse with heat when a fiend is within 100 feet. The temple also keeps three 'Vials of Solar Breath' which function as Potions of Radiant Resistance.
The Tithe Laws
Those who seek sanctuary within the temple walls are expected to perform four hours of service per day or pay a tithe of five gold pieces. Failure to contribute either labor or coin results in being asked to leave the premises before sunset.
Denizens
Strict but compassionate. She speaks in metaphors involving light and shadow and has no patience for deceit or those who dwell in darkness.
A nervous man with ink-stained fingers who manages the temple's records and coordinates the charitable feedings.
An elderly woman who sits near the central basin. Though her eyes are clouded white, she claims to see the alignment of souls rather than physical forms.
Rumors & Plot Hooks
- 1.It is said that the central basin contains a drop of blood from a solar angel.
- 2.Some believe the High Priestess is actually a celestial in human disguise sent to watch over the region.
- 3.A local thief claims there is a tunnel leading from the gardens into a forgotten treasure vault beneath the altar.
Classified Entry
The Solar Lens is not just decorative. If aligned with certain celestial events, it can be used to fire a beam of concentrated radiant energy capable of destroying undead within a mile, but doing so would crack the crystal and leave the temple unprotected.
