Elemental Covenantor

An Elemental Covenantor binds their bloodline to a powerful eidolon from an Elemental Plane. The pact creates a living partnership: the covenantor directs magic through their own vitality while the eidolon fights, scouts, and shapes the battlefield. Unlike a conventional spellcaster, the Covenantor is strongest when standing beside their companion, combining modest spellcasting with a versatile bonded summon.

Half-caster spellcasting using Charisma. Covenantors prepare spells and can use their eidolon as the origin point for many spells through Shared Conduit.

5th-Level Spells

Conjure Elemental Summons a major elemental ally, though it demands concentration and careful negotiation.
Control Winds Shapes the battlefield through direct elemental command.
Greater Restoration Represents mastery over deep spiritual and physical disruptions.
Planar Binding Formalizes a long-term supernatural agreement.

Multiclassing

Prerequisite: Charisma 13. When multiclassing into Covenantor, you gain light armor, medium armor, shields, simple weapons, and one skill from the Covenantor skill list. Use the multiclass spell-slot progression for a half caster. Your eidolon features use your total Covenantor levels, not character levels.

Proficiencies

Light armor, medium armor, shields, simple weapons, Primordial, and one artisan’s tool. You may choose two skills from Arcana, Animal Handling, Deception, Insight, Intimidation, Investigation, Nature, Persuasion, or Religion.

Training & Initiation

A prospective Covenantor studies Primordial, family records, and the laws of supernatural consent before attempting contact with an elemental spirit. The initiation usually involves a controlled ritual in a place aligned with the chosen lineage, where the candidate offers a truthful statement of intent and accepts an equally binding answer from the eidolon.

Societal Perception

People often regard Covenantors with a mixture of awe and suspicion. In regions dependent on elemental magic they are respected as negotiators and protectors; elsewhere, their eidolons are feared as unpredictable monsters or evidence of dangerous inherited power.
