Kitsune Emberweaver

The Kitsune Emberweaver is a mobile hybrid who blends fox-elf intuition, human adaptability, spirit bargains, practical skill, and devastating heat magic. Emberweavers fight without dependence on a particular weapon, shaping claws of flame, foxfire arrows, heated tools, mirages, and protective cinders directly from their spirit-ki. Their greatest strength is flexible positioning: they can harry enemies, manipulate the battlefield, assist allies, or erupt into destructive supernatural fire.

Multiclassing

To multiclass into Kitsune Emberweaver, meet the game’s normal hybrid-class prerequisites and possess training in at least one skill. You gain Spirit Dice only if your other class does not already grant a comparable flexible resource; otherwise use the larger resource pool but keep only one feature that restores it. Ember Techniques use your highest applicable power attribute.

Proficiencies

Training with all simple and martial weapons, improvised weapons, unarmed attacks, light and medium armor, and spirit-focused implements. You are never required to use a particular weapon. Gain training in four skills, including at least one from Agility, Insight, Presence, Survival, Stealth, Deception, Persuasion, Craft, Investigation, or Nature.

Training & Initiation

Training begins with practical discipline: survival, disguise, craft, negotiation, and unarmed movement. The initiate then spends nine nights beside a controlled flame, offering a personal truth to a fox spirit each night. On the final night, the initiate must protect something vulnerable without letting anger control the fire. Success awakens the first spectral tail; failure usually leaves a permanent ember-scar and a spirit debt.

Societal Perception

Admired as clever protectors and feared as unpredictable fire-bringers. Rural communities may honor Emberweavers as shrine guardians, while urban authorities often suspect them of deception, smuggling, or spirit influence.
