Magneturge

Magneturges are full casters who command the invisible forces that draw, repel, anchor, and accelerate matter. They shape battlefields with gravity wells, weaponize magnetic fields, protect allies with deflection and weight, and manipulate positioning more reliably than most spellcasters. A Magneturge is a tactical controller whose magic rewards careful placement, line management, and creative use of the environment.

Multiclassing

Ability Score Minimum: Intelligence 13. When multiclassing into Magneturge, you gain light armor, medium armor, shields, simple weapons, and tinker's tools. You gain no additional saving throw proficiencies. Use the multiclass spell slot rules for full casters; Gravity Charges are gained only from Magneturge levels.

Training & Initiation

Most Magneturges begin as apprentices to physicists, battlefield engineers, miners, astronomers, or temple mystics. Training combines mathematical diagrams, controlled exposure to magnetic ores, shield drills, and meditation while suspended or weighted. Initiation occurs when the student creates a stable personal field capable of moving an object without touching it and then safely returns it to rest.

Societal Perception

Ordinary people often find Magneturges unnerving because their power is invisible until objects fly, footsteps become impossible, or a weapon veers away from its target. They are respected as engineers and protectors, feared as potential siege weapons, and often blamed for unexplained accidents involving metal or falling structures.
