Sacred Scale clerics speak with the ceremonial authority of Draknaar’s Council of Ten Scales. Their power is not granted by one god, but drawn from ancient draconic reverence, inherited oaths, and the elemental force of scale-sworn tradition. They serve as judges, ritual leaders, battlefield chaplains, and witnesses whose words can halt a duel or rally an army. Each cleric chooses a personal elemental affinity, while the domain’s shared rites remain the same across every Sacred House.

Spellcasting & Powers

You are a full Cleric spellcaster. Your spellcasting ability is Wisdom, and you use your Cleric spell slots and prepared spell rules. Your domain spells are always prepared and do not count against the number of spells you can prepare.

4th-Level Domain Spells

Guardian of Faith Creates a spectral scale-warden that defends sacred ground.
Freedom of Movement Protects a sworn ally from restraints and hostile terrain.

5th-Level Domain Spells

Flame Strike Summons a pillar of divine-elemental judgment.
Commune Seeks guidance from the shared authority behind the Council’s tradition.
Dispel Evil and Good Rejects supernatural intrusions through ancient draconic law.
Greater Restoration Restores a creature burdened by severe physical or magical affliction.

Multiclassing

No additional multiclassing requirements beyond those of the Cleric class. Wisdom is the key ability for this subclass’s saving throw DCs and spell effects. Heavy armor proficiency gained from this subclass applies when you choose the subclass.

Heavy armor proficiency. Training commonly includes sacred law, draconic genealogy, elemental ritual, formal judgment, battlefield chaplaincy, and the interpretation of scale-sworn oaths.

Training & Initiation

Candidates are selected by a Sacred House, a tribunal, or a battlefield chaplain. Initiation requires memorizing the Tenfold Litany, surviving a ritual before an elemental flame or relic scale, and swearing to preserve the Council’s authority without becoming its unquestioning instrument. The final rite awakens the candidate’s personal Sacred Affinity through bloodline, oath, or chosen allegiance.

Societal Perception

Ordinary people often show immediate respect or unease toward Sacred Scale clerics. Their robes and scale sigils suggest legal authority, but rural communities may fear that a cleric has arrived to collect a debt, investigate heresy, or enforce a noble house’s will. Soldiers generally welcome them, while rival aristocrats treat their presence as both useful and dangerous.
