A sprawling subterranean complex of obsidian and bone, designed to shield a dying arch-lich from the material world. Its corridors are slick with a strange, violet ichor that defies natural gravity.
The air smells of ozone and ancient dust, accompanied by a low-frequency hum that vibrates in the teeth. Lighting is provided by flickering violet soul-gems embedded in the walls, casting long, distorted shadows.

The psychic residue of Valerius, known as the Void-Stain, infects everything within. It manifests as a creeping madness that turns the undead into warped, multi-limbed aberrations and draws star-born horrors into the deep chambers.
History
Built by the Arch-Lich Valerius during the Age of Ash, this sanctum was intended to be a bridge to the Far Realm. After Valerius was betrayed by his apprentices, the site was consumed by the very aberrations he sought to command, leaving a tomb that is neither fully dead nor fully alive.
