The Glass-Crag Keep
The air hums with the resonance of a thousand shattered dreams.
A majestic Elven fortress that was once suspended in the clouds, now a jagged ruin fused with sentient elemental crystals. Radiant light refracts through broken marble walls, casting sharp shadows that seem to move of their own volition.
A constant low frequency hum vibrates in the teeth and bones. The air is cold and smells of ozone and dry pine needles. Illumination is provided by pulsing violet and teal crystals that grow from every crevice.
☠ Threat
The Crystal Resonance is a semi-sentient psionic field generated by the oversized amethyst spikes piercing the castle foundations. It slowly converts organic life into brittle glass while animating the ancient Elven defense golems. At the heart of this infection is the Shard-Bound Warden, a corrupted guardian obsessed with preserving the keep at the cost of all living trespassers.
History
Built as a celestial sanctuary for the Elven god Solonor, the keep served as a hub for weaving star-light into mithral. During a catastrophic failure of the elemental reactor four centuries ago, the fortress plummeted into the mountainside. The jagged crystals that caused the crash have since colonized the structure, turning its halls into a beautiful but lethal crystalline hive.

Rumours & Whispers
The crystals are actually the petrified souls of the elves, and they are screaming in a frequency humans can't hear.
A legendary Sunblade is locked within the high altar, but it will blind any non-elf who tries to wield it.
The keep didn't fall because of a crash; the elven god cast it down to contain a spreading plague.
Touching the amethyst spikes causes one's skin to slowly turn into brittle glass over 24 hours.
