The sound of rhythmic dripping water echoes through the halls. The smell of wet stone and old decay is pervasive. Light is non-existent except for what the adventurers bring, casting long, jerky shadows on the rough-hewn walls.

Silas Marsten, the last patriarch, has risen as a Wight. He spends his eternity animating the bones of his kin and guardians to defend his crown. His presence causes the very walls of the crypt to bleed black ichor, and he hungers for the life force of any living soul who dares trespass in his domain.
History
Built by the Marsten family four centuries ago to house their dead and a powerful ancestral signet. The family died out during a sudden plague that historians now suspect was actually a curse brought on by Silas Marsten's dark pacts. The local clergy sealed the doors to keep the rot contained, but the seal has recently been broken from the inside.
