A forgotten mountain temple once dedicated to an solar, now occupied by radical scholars who believe divinity can be extracted like ore. The halls blend ancient marble with brass pipes and humming arcane batteries.
The air smells of ozone and incense, punctuated by the rhythmic clanking of steam-pipes. Lighting is provided by flickering blue crystals held in brass sconces, casting long, jittery shadows against the white marble walls.

Dr. Vane, a high-ranking scientist of the Order, has almost completed his 'Ascension Engine.' If he succeeds, he will consume the essence of a bound celestial, becoming a god-like entity of pure, unstable energy that could annihilate the surrounding valley. History
Built centuries ago to honor the celestial guardian Aethelgard, the temple was lost to a landslide until the 'Order of the Glass Scalpel' excavated it twenty years ago. These rogue scientists have spent decades retrofitting the holy site with laboratory equipment to siphon essence from captured celestial beings. Their work has corrupted the local gargoyles and turned the sanctuary into a factory of blasphemous experimentation.
