Bone-Binder's Vault
The dead do not rest where the silver chains break.
A subterranean complex carved from obsidian and marble, shrouded in a perpetual, unnatural chill. It serves as both the final resting place of the Gallow-Glass lineage and a containment site for their forbidden necromantic experiments.
The air smells of dry rot and old copper, chilled to the point that breath becomes mist. Distant scraping sounds echo through the corridors, accompanied by the faint, blue glow of bioluminescent moss on the walls.
☠ Threat
The Vault-Warden, a powerful spirit bound to the tomb, oversees the halls. It draws strength from the lingering resentment of the Gallow-Glass family, growing more powerful as it harvests the life force of trespassers. The warden seeks to break the seal on the deepest chamber to unleash a wave of undeath upon the surface world.
History
Centuries ago, the Gallow-Glass noble house practiced necromancy in secret beneath their estate. When their heresy was discovered by the local clergy, the family was sealed alive within their own tomb. They have since transformed into various undead states, guarding their dark knowledge and family heirlooms from any who dare to intrude upon their eternal punishment.
