Veyr King's Crypt
The dead remember every trespass beneath the broken crown.
The crypt lies beneath a collapsed mausoleum, its orderly burial halls warped by centuries of necromantic ritual. The upper chambers still resemble a forgotten funerary complex, but deeper passages reveal prisons, sealed archives, and a royal tomb where death has become a form of worship.
Cold, stale air carries the smells of wet limestone, old incense, and disturbed dust. Pale blue corpse-lights flicker in iron sconces, while distant chains scrape across stone and something below occasionally exhales through the walls.
☠ Threat
King Odran Veyr rules the deepest tomb as a deathless monarch, sustained by stolen memories and the black residue of failed soul rituals. He commands lesser undead through whispered dreams, and every corpse disturbed in the crypt strengthens his awareness. If left undisturbed, Odran will eventually push his influence beyond the mausoleum and begin reclaiming the living descendants of House Veyr.
History
The crypt was built by the House of Veyr, a royal dynasty that feared death more than war. Its priests carved burial halls beneath the family mausoleum, then expanded them into barracks, archives, and prison cells for occult experiments. When King Odran Veyr died, the priests attempted to preserve his soul, but the ritual consumed the entire household and sealed the crypt from within.
