The laws of physics yield to the echoes of forgotten spells.
A floating fortress that crashed into a rift centuries ago, now half-buried in crystalline sediment. The air hums with unstable mana that makes skin crawl and hair stand on end.
The air tastes of ozone and copper, punctuated by the high-pitched whine of energy leashing. Lighting is provided by flickering violet crystals embedded in the masonry, and gravity occasionally shifts, causing dust to swirl in strange patterns.
☠ Threat
The Arch-Lich Xarithon, formerly Vosh's apprentice, survived the collapse in a spectral state and has spent centuries reforming his body. He is currently attempting to re-ignite the ruin's Mana Forge to ascend to godhood, a process that will drain the life force from every living creature within fifty miles.
History
Built by the High Arcanist Vosh as a laboratory for harvesting planar energy, the spire collapsed when an experiment with a Void Shard went catastrophically wrong. The resulting explosion fused the inhabitants with the stone and opened several small apertures to the Far Realm. For centuries, the ruins remained sealed by magical wards until recent seismic activity cracked the foundations.
