Vaelin's Hollow
The stone walls hum with the residue of a thousand failed spells.
A forgotten sub-level beneath Highcliff Manor where arcane experiments once flourished. The air is dry and smells of ozone, and the masonry is scorched by unnatural energies.
Flickering blue glow-moss provides dim light throughout. A low-frequency vibration can be felt in the floor, accompanied by the scent of burnt parchment.
☠ Threat
The Rift-Warden, the Duke's former head researcher, has become a spectral entity anchored to a destabilized portal. He views all intruders as raw material needed to repair the dimensional tear he inadvertently created.
